Attention 1! There is only one China in the world, and Taiwan is an inseparable part of China! All manuscripts must treat Taiwan as a province of China, OR your submission will be ignored!
Attention 2! The territorial scope of China shall be subject to the 2023 standard map released by the Ministry of Natural Resources of China.
注意 1!世界上只有一个中国,台湾是中国不可分割的一部分!所有稿件必须将台湾作为中国的一个省份对待,否则您的投稿将被无视!

The Indochina Entomologist publish original research related to insects and related arthropods, particularly in taxonomy, systematics, phylogeny and related fields. Revision papers, descriptions of new taxa, redescriptions of little-known taxa, illustrated keys, new national or provincial records, and biogeography are welcome.
《中南半岛昆虫学家》发行昆虫及其近缘节肢动物之原创研究,尤其在分类学、系统学、系统发育及相关领域。欢迎如下论文:修订、描述新分类单元、重描述鲜为人知的分类单元、图示检索表、国家级或省级新记录与生物地理。
Languages: The official language of the journal is English or Chinese, and all studies should be written in clear and concise English or Chinese.
语言:期刊的官方语言是英语或中文,所有研究都应该用清晰简洁的英语或中文书写。
Title, Author Information, Abstract, Keywords and Running Title
The title should be informative and briefly reflect the content of manuscript. Full names and affiliations of all authors including ORCID links and e-mail addresses are required. The abstract should summarize the manuscript content in not more than 250 words. Standard nomenclature should be used, and abbreviations should be avoided in abstracts. Up to 10 keywords should be presented. In addition, a short “Running Title” should be provided.
Attention 3! For the translation of personal names from countries such as China, North Korea, South Korea, Vietnam, etc., using “-” to separate different characters in the first name. For example, Guan-Yin Song.
Attention 4! Title, author information, abstract and keywords in Chinese must be provide for a text wrote in English, and vice versa (The Editorial Board will translate these for non-Chinese authors for free).
注意 3!对于来自中国、朝鲜、韩国、越南等国的人名翻译,统一使用“-”隔开名中的不同字,例如宋观音之英文应写为Guan-Yin Song。
注意 4!英文文本必须提供中文的标题、作者信息、摘要与关键字,反之亦然(编委会将免费为非中文作者翻译这些内容)。
Taxonomic Treatment
Any taxonomic treatment should follow the latest version of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature. Names of genera and species must be in italics and abbreviations for new taxa names and nomenclatural acts in bold (e.g., gen. nov., sp. nov., syn. nov., comb. nov.). The fully written author name and description year is required at the first mention of a species (e.g., Larinus paradoxus Ter-Minassian & Egorov, 1981). Morphological descriptions and keys should be in telegraphic style. Male (♂) and female (♀) symbols should be used for examined material.
References
Citation of references in text should follow this example:
The Afrotropical fauna of Lixini are represented by 10 genera (Alonso-Zarazaga & Lyal 1999; Talamelli 2008; Gültekin et al. 2012), which includes 40 % of known species in the world (Petri 1912, 1914ab, 1920; Csiki 1934).

Dissertations resulting from graduate studies and non-serial proceedings of conferences/symposia are to be treated as books and cited as such. Papers not cited must not be listed in the references.
For websites, it is important to include the last date when you see that site, as it can be moved or deleted from that address in the future.
Attention 6! Journal titles must be written in full (not abbreviated).
Attention 7! Journal titles are followed by a “,” and volume numbers are followed by a “:”.
Attention 8! Page ranges are connected by “n dash”, not hyphen “-”, which is used to connect two words.
Figure Plates
Drawings, photographs, maps and graphs are considered as figures. Figures should be labelled using Arabic numbers or capital letters and referred to in the text as Fig. 1, Fig. 2, or Fig. 1A, Fig. 1B, etc. Preparing figure plates on a separate page using Adobe Photoshop, CorelDraw or similar programs is preferred. Electronic formats of figures should be in JPEG or TIFF (minimum 300 dpi resolution for jpeg) and size 17x21 cm.
Figures or figure plates should be uploaded journal as supplementary material individually and not inserted text part of manuscript. One figure or figure plate should not exceed 20 MB.
Figure captions should be arranged following the example below and typed in the word document:

Tables: Tables should not repeat data given in the text and should be limited in size and typed single-spaced. The legends must be clear, concise and allow a full understanding. Tables should be labelled using Arabic numbers and referred to in the text as Table 1, Table 2, etc. Tables must fit the size of a vertical page and not exceed its size. Tables should not be inserted text part of manuscript, they should be placed after references.
